Enabling delivery of "auto-replies" to external domains
Hi all Exchange 2007, SP1 (soon SP2\SP3). Have any of you enabled the "Allow Autoreply" to Remote Domains feature on Exchange 2007? My employer allows Out Of Office messages to come back, and the "Exchange loop detection" mechanism should prevent a constant loop for these. Are there any pother major problems that people have detected\predicted should this be enabled? I'm inclined to honour the request to enable this as we are generally rather generous.

Well, there is a reason its disabled by default. Even with any built-in mail loop detection that may occur, I dont think you can guarantee that it wont result in a mail loop when the replies are sent to an external mailer which may then auto-reply back. Exchange is very good at detecting and preventing a mail loop within the org however.
